This summer time, grassroots and Indigenous environmental leaders from throughout Lenapehoking will hold a few public activities for connection, celebration, expertise-sharing, and therapeutic: a Summer time Solstice, a Juneteenth Celebration, and a panel on local community land protection and stewardship. These Land Circle Activation occasions will choose location in a pop-up hub house supported by the Local weather Justice Initiative (CJI). at Cesar Andreú Iglesias Community Back garden in Kensington, Philadelphia, a multi-generational local community of growers and neighborhood organizing venture.

CJI is a big challenge from the Environmental Justice Department at Mural Arts Philadelphia, foregrounding local weather justice in land, air, and trash practices.     Study about the rewards of neighborhood agriculture and Indigenous stewardship in Lenapehoking. Hear from panelists providing areas for neighborhood customers to individual and reconnect with the land, tending it for meals, therapeutic, and justice in and about the town.     Keeping group house to celebrate Black and Indigenous people today to envision collective futures, for people to share crafts and society, and to share foodstuff critical to Lenape peoples. As Black and Native peoples coming from Indigenous and land-centered communities, the potential to collect and share understanding of the land and land use in the town is integral to the capacity to secure and preserve it. The organizers and artists behind this party are Felicia Teter, Kitty Heite, and Priscilla Bell.
