Masterfully fusing his unique calligraphy with motley symbols, Lower East Side indigenous Angel Ortiz aka LA II has been creating his mark on the streets, in galleries and in museums for many years. Ideal acknowledged for his collaborations with the late Keith Haring in the 80’s, LA’s present exhibition, Strolling the Line, at Van Der Plas Gallery is a testament to the artist’s infectious aesthetic that impacted Haring and proceeds to captivate.
